We had a bit of trouble with the heating system in our room and couldn't figure out how to adjust it. The room ended up being quite overheated, but luckily, we managed to open the windows to cool things down. Lesson learned! On a positive note, the location of Heirloom Hotels - The House Of Edward was fantastic. We were just a short walk away from the bustling Vrijdagmarkt square, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and even a supermarket. The riverside walks and historical attractions along the Leie were also within easy reach. The virtual reception experience was unique but surprisingly efficient. We had no trouble communicating with the staff, who were very responsive to our needs. Breakfast options were plentiful, with nearby cafes, bakeries, and a local supermarket to choose from. The kitchenette in our room was a handy bonus. The building itself had been recently renovated and modernized, and our room was bright and spacious, offering a lovely view of the square in front of the hotel.

The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the city. We found some great restaurants and cafes nearby. the room was spacious and cozy, with a comfortable bed and plenty of amenities, including a coffee pod machine. the housekeeping staff did a great job keeping the room clean and organized.
the curtains didn't block out all of the light, which made sleeping a bit challenging.

Raymond
Staying in the heart of the town, this location is a definite perk for tourists. Just a stone's throw away from all the tourist center, you'll be in walking distance to explore all the beautiful old buildings of the city. the whole building was beautifully crafted and very neat. the room was very comfortable, clean and had cleverly concealed facilities like shower, toilet and kitchenette. guests would have access to washers and dryers in the basement at no additional charges.
Despite the many positives, there is one downside to this property. the absence of a reception desk could make some guests feel uneasy and a little discomforting.

Andrew
Our room was bright and spotless, with high-end fittings that made us feel like luxury. The bed was comfy and cozy, and the shower was wonderful. We loved the charming view of the rooftops, and there was even a courtyard below with cute little sculptures.
Although we loved our room and location, we did run into a few minor issues during our stay. The instructions for checking in and out were a bit confusing at first, and it took us some time to figure out how to use the entry code.
